Ross Creek Centre for the Arts The Ross Creek Centre has wonderful facilities that are adaptable to a wide variety of events. From artist’s studios to annual meetings and conferences to weddings and dances, the Centre can provide a wonderful and professional atmosphere and easy one-stop catering from fabulous chefs. For more information or to book please contact the General Manager at gm@artscentre.ca. Boat Studio and StageThe Diogenes is a piece of Canadian History, formerly part of the HMCS Bonaventure. Donated to the Centre by Brian Garvey and Sue Gibson-Garvey, we retrofitted the boat with assistance from ACOA and the Province of Nova Scotia as a studio and performance venue. For day use by writers or other artists, it also has a wonderful deck which can be used for small performances. It was the stage for 2009's Two Planks and Passion Theatre Production of Rockbound. RJ Owen StudioA deep red room with beautiful stained softwood floors, this performing arts studio features a lightly sprung floor, overhead lighting positions and the potential to have full technical Rehearsals. Engineered for theatre and speech, this is a perfect drama creation and rehearsal space, which can be modified with drapery to suit music, and a Marley dance floor may be added for dance creation. Size: 40' x 40' Dance StudioThe companion to the RJ Owen Studio, this has a floor sprung for dance and is acoustically tuned for music. A deep green, it has all the features of the Owen, but with a flat black floor and access to the outdoor stage. Size: 40' x 40' North StudioA small lovely upstairs room that overlooks the ponds and forest of the centre, this room is equipped with sink, paint trap and a softwood floor. Size: 12' x 18' Studio 1A large West Facing studio with high ceilings and sprung floors with its own entrance and sinks. Looking out over the west field and the outdoor stage area, this studio is perfect for working on larger pieces or small collaborative groups. Size: 18' x 28' Studio 2The neighbour of studio 1, this is another large west facing studio with high ceilings and sprung floors with its own entrance and sinks. Size: 18' x 28' Photo StudioThis is a small but well-equipped and private room for photographic work. Equipped with enlargers, sink, trays and without windows, this is a perfect place to work on developing and manipulating film. Size: 8' x 18’ RBC Community GalleryA small open gallery space with lovely red floors and track lighting, it is a wonderful place for projector presentations, exhibits, meetings and classes. Size: 18’ x 25’ Ross Creek GalleryA secure gallery space with lovely red floors and track lighting, it is a wonderful place for meetings, presentations, exhibits and classes.
